Myron Boadu returns to Monaco first-team training

Myron Boadu (22) has returned to AS Monaco first-team training following an adductor injury. The Dutch forward has not featured since a cameo appearance against Stade Brestois on 5th November.

Injuries have once again disrupted Boadu’s season. The former AZ Alkmaar forward has made just seven appearances in Ligue 1 this season, scoring just once. However, he has not featured for over a month after his latest injury setback during a training session after the win over Brest in November. With Breel Embolo out, potentially until the end of the season, Les Monégasques are reliant on Boadu for attacking depth.

However, he is now back in first-team training. He will not be fit to face Olympique Lyonnais on Friday as confirmed by Adi Hütter, however, the Austrian manager revealed that Boadu could feature before the winter break. Meanwhile, Eliot Matazo remains absent with his own adductor injury. Eliesse Ben Seghir is, however, nearing a return and did an individual session at the Principality club’s training centre in La Turbie on Wednesday.
