That is partially his own fault, or better due to his incapability to play at a higher level than at Lorient. It is true that you can excuse – to a certain degree – his calamities wiht the 4-2-3-1 installed by Baup (in contrast to Gourcuff’s 4-2-2), but, if you have a look at Fanni on the other side, Rod’s performances are clearly better. And the right-back plays behing Jordan Ayew or Sougou (yesterday), Morel behind André Ayew, the latter one being the one working more when it comes to defense.

To put it short, Morel is an average Ligue 1 player who surprisingly managed to play in the starting line-up the last two years. As you figured out, OM is currently searching or alternatives. Bedimo is a name that has to be taken serious, the other one being Shakhtar’s Romanian international Razvan Rat, who will be dealt with as a free transfer during the summer transfer window.
