Nantes predicted XI v PSG: Moussa Sissoko set to start, Pedro Chirivella out injured

FC Nantes will try to seal a second win on the bounce against Ligue 1’s best-placed teams at PSG’s Parc des Princes on Saturday night. Last Saturday, Les Canaris became the first Ligue 1 team to defeat Francesco Farioli’s high-flying OGC Nice. Unfortunately, the game took a tragic turn when it transpired that a Nantes supporter has died near La Beaujoire Stadium, fatally stabbed by a vehicle-for-hire driver.

For his second game in charge, Jocelyn Gourvennec won’t be able to rely on reliable Spanish midfielder Pedro Chirivella. The former Liverpool man has sustained a hamstring injury. The Spaniard started all 14 Ligue 1 games since the start of the season.

In his absence, Gourvennec will presumably field a 3-man midfield with Douglas Augusto, Samuel Moutoussamy and former Tottenham Hotspur man Moussa Sissoko. Egyptian international centre-forward Mostafa Mohamed is poised to lead the line for Nantes.

Nantes likely lineup against PSG

Alban Lafont; Marcus Coco, Eray Cömert, Jean-Charles Castelletto, Quentin Merlin; Douglas Augusto, Moussa Sissoko, Samuel Moutoussamy; Florent Mollet, Mostafa Mohamed, Moses Simon.
