Nottingham Forest’s Loïc Mbe Soh nears Guingamp loan

Ouest-France are reporting that Nottingham Forest’s Franco-Cameroonian centre-back Loïc Mbe Soh (21) will be officially loaned to En Avant Guingamp this Friday.

The Brittany outfit, a struggling twelfth-placed Ligue 2 side, have been negotiating in recent weeks with the Premier League side regarding the 21-year-old defender. The Paris Saint-Germain youth product left Les Parisiens for then Championship side Nottingham Forest in 2020.

Forest’s latest spending spree, which followed their Premier League promotion, made Mbe Soh no longer a part of Steve Cooper’s plans. The Franco-Cameroonian has played only three games with Forest this season, including in a convincing a 3-0 win against Grimsby Town in the second round of the Carabao Cup. In search of game time, Mbe Soh may have found a way out of Nottingham thanks to Guingamp. Ouest-France report that, in the wake of centre-back Donatien Gomis’ serious ankle injury, Guingamp executives successfully returned to the fore in order to agree a six-month loan for Mbe Soh.
