According to a report from Foot Mercato, Alexis Flips (23) could make a swift return to Stade de Reims this January. The former France U20 international left the Ligue 1 club in the summer but has failed to make a mark so far at Anderlecht.
Flips featured prominently for Reims last season, and his departure to the Belgian Pro League was a blow to Will Still’s side. However, since his €4m transfer away from Les Stadistes, Flips has struggled, and he has yet to register a goal or an assist in 13 games for the Belgian side.
According to Foot Mercato, there is a chance that the French playmaker could return to Reims on loan in January. The club are in discussions with their counterparts at Anderlecht over a loan move. Still, who is looking to add to his squad, especially given the number of players he will lose to AFCON and the Asia Cup, has already given the green light for the move to go ahead.
